Welcome to our Tourist farm »Pr' Jakopc«

We are delighted to offer you a selection of fresh, locally sourced dishes that highlight the best of our farm’s produce. Typically, we serve lunch on Sunday. The rest of the week, there is charcuterie to get you going. Enjoy, being surrounded by the beauty of our countryside.

 

TO CHOOSE FROM DURING THE WEEK

Platter of Cheese and Smoked meat

1. Local Meat

  • Rich flavours of smoked meat – salami, sausages, prosciutto, ham, and bacon(pancetta)

2. Cheese

  • Cheeses Gouda & Edam to compliment the meat.

3. Horseradish

  • This white root vegetable, resembling a parsley root, is grated and quite spicy. Be careful!

4. Hardboiled eggs

  • Our free-range hens graze in nature. A lot of healthy protein for you.

5. Pickles

  • Pickled cucumbers, zucchini, mushrooms – home produce, and wild mushrooms, foraged in the neighbouring woods.

6. Bread

  •  White/Brown bread.

1. Homemade schnapps & liqueur

  • Bitters, juniper schnapps & velvety blueberry and walnut liqueurs.

2. Homemade Lemonade

  • Refreshing lemonade with added herbs from our garden.

3. Homemade juice

  • A selection of juices made with love & care: elderberry flower, peppermint, apple, blueberry.

4. Local Wine and Draft Beer

  • A selection of local wines and draft beers to complement your meal. (red wines: Cviček – medium-bodied, higher levels of acidity, dark-colored Refosco, Blaufrankisch – Modra Frankinja; Cabernet Sauvignon/ whites: Riesling, Sauvignon, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay/ sparkling wine, dessert wine)

5. Coffee and Tea

Italian types of coffee, or various teas, a homemade herbal infusion served with lemon and honey as the ultimate star.

SUNDAY LUNCH

Soups

1. Beef soup with noodles

  • A rich bone marrow soup with homemade noodles & seasonal vegetables from our garden.

2. Porcini soup

  • Mushrooms picked in the local woods, made into a mouth-watering soup, dressed with sour cream and assorted herbs & spices.

3. Seasonal soups

  • Depending on the season, zucchini, Hokkaido, carrot, asparagus soups …

Main Course

1. Pork Roast

  • Enjoy deep rich flavours of pork roast with that perfect crust on top.

2. Fried Chicken

  • Fried breaded chicken legs and breast – a true delight.

3. Fried Turkey steak

  • Crispy turkey breast, breaded and deep-fried.

Sides

1. Roasted Potatoes

  • Cooked potatoes, sliced, and sautéed with onion rings. Slovenian »pražen, or restan krompir«.

2. Risotto

  • A plate of cooked rice with gentle tastes you’ll love.

3. Cooked vegetables

  • A mixture of steamed seasonal vegetables: carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, string beans

4. Fried zucchini

  • Thinly sliced, gently seasoned zucchini, and fried to melt in your mouth.

Salads

1. Mixed

  • Lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage, beans, with oil & vinegar dressing.

2. Tomato / Cabbage / Lettuce

  • Just one ingredient to suit your taste

Desserts

1. Apple Pie

  • Traditional apple pie made with apples from our orchard, served with vanilla ice cream.

2. Pancakes

  • Thin pancakes with lemon and powdered sugar, or filled with chocolate or jam, topped with double cream.

3. Ice cream

  • Vanilla or chocolate ice cream in cups or cones to refresh at the end of a meal.

4. Potica

  • Two types of Slovenian traditional cake filled either with walnut filling, or ricotta and tarragon – seasonal around Christmas or Easter.

5. Flancati & Jam Doughnuts

  • Flancati is another delicious, Slovenian sweet dish. Sugar-coated deep-fried pastry. Doughnuts are typically filled with jam – carnival times.

6. Pumpkin seed roll

  • Very gentle roll that melts in your mouth and delights your heart.
